Hiroshis kitchen no osechi ryoori is expensive. Says Aki
Kurt appreceiate the hard work of Board members work. 
Yoshi will send a minutes note to Kurt and Kurt retype the minutes format and send it to board members. Kurt asked all the board members to read and check before th next meeting.
Kurt also asked the board if there is any documents. Jan gave Kurt the box of all the documents. Board should approve the minutes and signed it and keep it official record.
Yoshi mentioned that WATJ should publish the journals.

Treasuerers report Mmeber is 57 Send NCJLT dues.
Money $1794.44 not include camp money
Camp tiution is coming in. After cash all the camp tuition balance will be approx $3000
Now we have new registration form on Website. So people pay correct amount $35(NCJLT $15). 
Motoko called Bank of America. The requirement that All the board member come in and sign in person.
BOA free transaction fee. Charge is free in first year. After one year less than 75 transaction is free. 
State of credit union is another choice. Saving interst rate is highr and no transaction fee.
WASCU only one branch. Mail in deposit. Motoko does not feel comfortable to mail deposit checks. 
Branch is not that far from where Motoko lives. 
Aki thinks no fee is fascinating. Convenience would be the matter. 
Interest is always good.
Aki makes the motion of that we change the WATJ account from BOA to Washington School Employee Credit Union with checking and saving account.
Courtney seconded. 
All in favor. Motion carried. 

Aki suggested we should keep Frame work money in CD. After we finished all the big events we can buy CD and save money.
Aki makes the motion that WATJ will move the frame work money and mutual account money into CD. Amount and period will be determined later. 
Yoshi seconds it.
Motoko will ask lots of questions later.
All in favor. Motion carries.

WAFLT meeting. Kurt and Aki went. Kurt liked it. WAFLT appreciate us that we send all the dues through us. Kurt was talking something about university and I was not listening…Conference. More people at Wenatchee than Pasco. They made lots of money at conference. Some speaker did donate their fee to WAFLT.next conference in Portland. That would be nice if we have lots of Japanese workshp. 
Spring conference in PLU. Information will be up in the website. 
Atusko was on the board We need to send a representative. Aki is gonna go to the retreat in May. 
Feburary Kurt will go. 
WAFLT is very organized. The meeting is shorten and better.
Courtney might be able to go. 

Camp
Motoko is happy because some teachers sent a tuition money 59 students 12 schools. Motkos goal is 13 schools and 65 students.
10 more days to go before final dead line. Some new teachers and lots of returnee.
21 definite volunteers. Only few can not stat but they will come back in the orning. 
Culture class look for some teachers who can teach Friday night classes. Calligraphy. Sanada sensei is not able to make it this year. Calligraphy Aki knows Nihon Boyoo. Courtney has some connections. She knows somebody who can teach calligraphy who can teach for free. 
Friday night one session 3-5. Cortney communicate with Motoko on this.
Next meeting will be after WATJ Oshoogatsu meeting at Ecketein
Kurt will be at the Camp as a Koochoo sensei.
One more things. This year Taiko group is Kaze Daiko. Tey are all teen agers. 
They all speak Japanese. They are sansei and yonsei. They are practicing Japanese for the camp.

Contest
Website Thank you very much. HBCC website put the link to WATJ. Conference information. HBCC link to WATJ. Some hoe page problem. Address has some mistake. 

Recruit committee member. Call one by one. Main Judge. Kato sensei is the strong candidate. Email formaer committee. And MC. Somebody energetic and interstd in Japanese. 

Last thing. Need volunteer for contest sean is gone. Start recruiting people. 

Washington Hyogo exchange thing. Hyogo teacher group will arrive. Group 3-25-30 Mary and Courtney will arrange the schedule. Late June 3 weeks. 12=15 teachers to Japan K thru 12. Go to Japan. Homestay ryokan travel to Kyoto. They stay hotel with host family. 
Mary screens the deligation.

Conference
Aki passed out thehand out. 
Kinokuniya gift certificate.
Kato sensei is keynote speaker.
Registration will be out in January
Idea sharing we send out the topics in advance.
The group of 4=- 5 cakes from masa lisa.
We expect 60 people participate. Registaration fee schedule. See the handout.
Early bird 5 dollar off. Kisaku bento, for 15 dollars

Yoshi calls Sankei travel and Kinokuniya. And ask vendor and donation. Half page for $50.
Northwest student exchange. We charge Obento.
Idea sharing topics. Sub plan. Oral assessment. How to kato sensei. 
Support group. Put ad in Juglecity.
Recruit elementary school.
Registration form should be out by Jan meeting.
